Appeal– All District Superintendents of Police in HP to be on Alert- DGP
Public Advised to Avoid Unessential Travel
Shimla, 12 August, 2023. Due to continuous heavy rainfall in many places of the State.
Roads have caved in
Buildings have come down
There are rockslides, landslides & mudslides.
Water levels in the rivers, streams increase suddenly.
Water is discharged from dams at a short notice.
Hospitals are overworked.

In order to ensure the safety of the general public, the DGP-HP has directed all the district Superintendents of Police in HP to be on alert, advise the hospitals to be in readiness and be safe. Beside this district SsP and SHOs have also been advised to regularly update the general public by Social Media and other general media platforms regarding movement in the State during inclement weather conditions.
General public are advised to stay alert and stay safe. They should avoid unessential travel.
