An Accident Innova Car Ocurred Near Kashang Nalah At District Kinnaur

Shimla, 06th February, 2024. An accident of a vehicle, Innova Car No. HP 01 AA-1111 had occurred on 04/02/2024 at 01.30 PM near Kashang Nalah at District Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh in which the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down from Highway into Satluj River. Following persons were in the car at the time of accident: –
i) Gopi Nath S/O Sh. Selvaraj R/O Palayam, Vellakovil Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, age 32 years
(Injured and admitted in RH Reckong Peo).
ii) Vetri Duraisamy S/O Sh. S Duraisamy R/O H.No 28, 1st Main Road CIT Nagar Nandanam,
Chennai, Tamil Nadu, age 45 yrs (missing)
iii) Tanjin R/O VPO Tabo, H.P. (Driver) (deceased). 
The day wise report of the accident is as under: –
Day 1-
On information, SHO, Reckong Peo Police Station along with police QRT team responded immediately and attended the spot. One injured person, Gopinath was rescued from the river side and was rushed to Regional Hospital, Reckong Peo. He had suffered head injuries and fractures. He was stabilized by a team of doctors and was to be referred to IGMC as the weather cleared.
In further rescue efforts, the team reached the vehicle lying in stream of the Satluj river and the vehicle was pushed aside to the banks, beneath which the body of driver Tanjin was recovered and shifted to hospital. Third person Vetri Duraiswamy is suspected to have been swept downstream in river. Area search along the banks was done by the team. Efforts were stopped in the evening due to adverse weather and night conditions.
Day 2-
NDRF team from Jeori, Shimla along with rescue equipment and boat reached the spot and search operation resumed involving NDRF, Police QRT and Home Guards team. The area along the river bank downstream was searched. The NDRF team used a boat to check the Satluj river bottom around the accident site in search of missing person Vetri Duraiswamy. The damaged vehicle was pulled out of the stream and put on side. It was thoroughly checked. 
One stone along the river bank had some remains of body parts which seemed like parts of human brain. The one person rescued and the body of the deceased driver had no such head injuries. These are believed to be parts of the missing person Vetri. These remains were lifted and preserved by the police team, and sent to State Forensic Science Laboratory, Junga through special messenger for DNA extraction and analysis. The injured person Gopinath was shifted to IGMC Shimla emergency ward for further care.
Day-3
NDRF, Police and Home Guards teams resumed the efforts early morning. A team of ITBP from 17th Bn and Army also joined the search efforts today morning. Requisition for search divers from Sunder Nagar, Mandi was sent and they will reach by evening today. A team of Navy special divers also contacted by DC Kinnaur office and requisition has been sent for their services. Continuous efforts for the search of missing person are being made by all the teams on the spot. It has been reliably learnt that the missing Vetri Duraisamy is son of Ex-Mayor Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
