Shimla, 09th February, 2024. Samagra Shiksha, Himachal Pradesh will be conducting the State Level Achievement Survey, 2024 between 12th February-9th March for sampled students from Grades 2,4,7 and 9 across Himachal Pradesh. The assessment will be conducted for around 45,000 students across close to 2000 schools in all the 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh with the support of Samagra Shiksha’s technical partner Convegenius Insights. Hindi, Math and Science will be the subjects assessed and the assessments will be conducted on tablets, making it one of the largest tab based assessment administration in the country.
The selection of students has been done through random sampling in a representative manner. The objective of the survey is to act as a diagnostic assessment to analyse current learning levels of students in these grades and basis the data to come up with a learning plan specifically focussed on remediation. Basis the data received, the state will provide tailored teaching practices for remediation and practice question banks to the schools and aim to improve its performance in the National Achievement Survey which is conducted by NCERT to understand learning levels across the country. The conduct of the survey is part of the larger approach of Samagra Shiksha, Himachal Pradesh to reform assessment and learning practices in the State under the ongoing STARS program.
