K.N. Kapoor (Retd. IPS) Passed Away

Shimla, 24 August, 2023. K.N. Kapoor (Retd. IPS) passed away today at New Delhi. He was a hardworking and sincere Police Officer. K.N. Kapoor was born on 19-04-1939 at Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. He joined the police department as IPS officer in the year 1963. During the course of his service of 33 years and 10 months, he served as DIG Vigilance, IGP Vigilance, ADGP Vigilance, ADGP-AP&T.

He was promoted as DGP on 07-09-1993 and retired from service as DGP-Home Guard on 30-04-1997 The entire Police Department prays for peace of the departed soul and also prays that his family may have the strength to bear this tragic loss.
