Shimla, 05th February, 2024. Update on Case FIR No. 14/2024, PS Barotiwala, Regarding NR Aromas Fire Incident Updated report concerning the tragic fire incident at NR Aromas, registered under FIR No. 14/2024 at PS Barotiwala. Our dedicated teams, in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), have been tirelessly working to address the aftermath of this catastrophe.

Status of Missing Individuals:
As of now, five workers remain unaccounted for:
1. Champo, wife of Sarv Dayala, from Village Baroh, PO Kandla, Tehsil and District Chamba.
2. Kajal, daughter of Rajiv, from District Badaun, Uttar Pradesh.
3. Kajal Bharti, daughter of Bali Prashad, from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
4. Kalpana Ahirwar, daughter of Kailash Ahirwar, from District Chatarpur, Madhya Pradesh.
5. Vijay Dubey, S/O Nagender Dubey, R/O Dubeychappra, PO Gundi, PS Badadra, District
Aarah, Bihar.

Additionally, one body still remains unidentified and is currently at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Nalagarh. We urge the grieving families to come forward to provide DNA samples to assist in identifying the victim.

Investigation and Search Operation: 

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted under the direction of the worthy DGP HP along with officials from NDRF, HP SDRF, and FSL, Junga has conducted a comprehensive search operation within the premises of NR Aromas, Jharmajri, Police District Baddi. The operation included the collection of various samples, including human body samples for DNA analysis. Extensive videography using drones was employed to meticulously map the crime scene, ensuring no evidence is overlooked.

Arrests and Legal Proceedings:

To date, two individuals have been arrested in connection with the fire incident:

1. Chandra Shekhar, son of Laxmi Narayan, resident of Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.
2. Vinod Bilwa, resident of Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.

The Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nalagarh, has issued non-bailable warrants
against three accused individuals:
1. Mr. Nilesh Patel, son of Mohan Bhai, residing at House Number 21, District Ratlam, Madhya
Pradesh.
2. Mr. Siddharth Patel, S/O Rajesh Patel, District Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.
3. Mr. Milan Patel, S/O Rajesh Patel, District Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.

Efforts are underway to apprehend these individuals as part of the ongoing investigation. collaborative Efforts and Forensic Involvement:

From February 6, 2024, the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Chandigarh, will join the investigative team. Their expertise will be crucial in collecting and analyzing samples, especially considering the large amounts of hazardous nature of chemicals stored at the NR Aromas site.
