Dharminder Thakur, who hails from Banan village near Piplughat in Arki area of Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, has successfully established his identity in the entertainment industry through hard work and perseverance. For the past six years, he has been actively working in the field of acting and steadily making his mark in television and films.
Before entering the entertainment world, Dharminder Thakur worked as a painting teacher for nearly 10 years. He served in reputed institutions including Pratap World Pathankot, DAV Lakkar Bazar Shimla, and Hill Top School Dalhousie. After dedicating years to teaching and art, he shifted to Mumbai in 2018, where his acting journey officially began.
Interestingly, Dharminder never received any professional acting training. However, with continuous learning, patience, and determination, he gradually started receiving opportunities in the industry and improved his craft with experience.
Currently, he can be seen portraying the role of Amarnath Ji in Zee TV’s popular serial “Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan,” which has been receiving appreciation from audiences for the past year. Prior to this, he has worked in nearly 50 television serials and several films.
Dharminder Thakur’s upcoming film “Radio Ghaint” is also set to release soon on OTT platforms, generating excitement among viewers and fans.
Apart from acting, education holds a special place in his life. He completed his Master’s degree (MA) in Painting from Himachal Pradesh University. He is also deeply interested in literature, self-realisation, and reading books, which he considers an essential part of personal growth.
Speaking about his success, Dharminder credits his parents, friends, and especially his wife for their constant support and encouragement. According to him, their blessings and belief in his abilities have played a major role in shaping his journey and achievements.
