Himachal Police Steps Up Anti-Corruption Drive with Targeted Action and Time-Bound Investigations
Zero Tolerance on Corruption: Himachal Police Focuses on Hotspots, Convictions and Complainant Protection

Himachal Pradesh Police has intensified its fight against corruption with a focus on zero tolerance, targeted enforcement, time-bound investigation and stronger prosecution. The State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) is adopting a focused approach to identify corruption-prone departments, offices and areas through systematic analysis of complaints and undertake targeted action.
The Bureau is also strengthening the investigation and prosecution of corruption cases, with emphasis on timely finalisation, effective court follow-up and improved conviction rates. Action against bribe demands and recovery of bribe money remains a key priority.
Special emphasis is being placed on the protection of complainants and sources. Their identities are kept confidential, and eligible persons who assist in exposing corruption may be recognised and rewarded in accordance with applicable provisions. Complaints are also followed up to ensure that legitimate public work is not unnecessarily delayed and that complainants do not face harassment or inconvenience.
The anti-corruption drive forms part of the broader commitment of Himachal Pradesh Police towards transparent, accountable and citizen-centric policing. The Police is also continuing strong action against narcotics and the menace of Chitta.
