Department of Industries Submits Proposals to DPIIT to Boost Industrial Growth and Job Creation Across the State

In a major move to strengthen industrial infrastructure and attract new investments, the Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh, has submitted two comprehensive proposals worth ₹234 crore to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
The proposals have been submitted under the Central Government’s BHAVYA Scheme.
Strengthening Infrastructure and Job Creation
The proposed projects aim to upgrade core industrial infrastructure across key industrial hubs in the state. Key focus areas include:

Enhancing road connectivity and logistics networks.

Upgrading power and water supply systems for industrial units.

Developing modern technology support facilities to streamline business operations.
According to official sources, the approval and implementation of these projects will not only improve the ease of doing business for existing units but will also attract significant private investment, generating direct and indirect employment opportunities for local youth.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is prioritizing robust industrial development. The submission of these proposals under the BHAVYA scheme marks a crucial step toward transforming Himachal Pradesh into a major manufacturing and industrial destination in North India.
