Bahra University Conducts Workshop on Emotional Wellbeing & Stress Management for Students

Renowned transformational psychologist Dr. Shikha Sareen guides students on navigating exam stress, career anxiety, and building mental resilience.

WAKNAGHATBahra University, through its Department of Student Welfare (DSW), successfully conducted a highly engaging and impactful workshop on “Emotional Wellbeing & Stress Management” for its students on campus today.



Held under the inspiring theme “Know Yourself – Look Within, Live Better,” the session was led by the renowned transformational psychologist and counselor, Dr. Shikha Sareen. Dr. Sareen shared valuable insights on emotional wellness, self-awareness, stress management, and mental resilience among the youth.



A Timely Initiative Amid Academic Pressure

The workshop comes at a crucial juncture as board and competitive examination results are being declared across the country. During this period, many students experience heightened levels of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty regarding university admissions, career choices, and future goals.

Addressing these immediate concerns, Dr. Sareen guided the participants on how to:

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anurag Avasthi, Director of Student Welfare at Bahra University, emphasized that emotional wellbeing is a vital pillar of a student’s life that requires as much attention as academic and career growth.

“Today’s youth face immense pressure in balancing studies, societal expectations, intense competition, and future planning. This makes emotional strength and mental wellness absolutely essential for overall success,” Mr. Avasthi stated.

Known for his student-centric approach, Mr. Avasthi highlighted that Bahra University continuously strives to foster a supportive, positive, and motivating campus environment. He reiterated that such initiatives empower students, helping them build leadership qualities, emotional balance, and a healthier perspective toward life’s challenges.
