In a significant move towards integrating modern technology into the state’s safety infrastructure, representatives from the renowned tech firm Utimaco/ITJINI called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today at his official residence, Oak Over.

The high-level corporate delegation from Mumbai (Bombay) presented a comprehensive demonstration of their newly developed, cutting-edge disaster management software. Given Himachal Pradesh’s vulnerability to natural calamities such as landslides, flash floods, and cloudbursts, the introduction of predictive and real-time management tools marks a crucial step in the state’s proactive governance strategy.



Elevating Disaster Preparedness with Next-Gen Tech

During the meeting, the tech experts showcased the core features of the software, highlighting its capability to streamline emergency response, optimize resource allocation, and provide early warning metrics. The software is designed to serve as a centralized digital nerve center for disaster response teams, enabling seamless communication between state authorities and field operators during critical situations.

Chief Minister Sukhu showed a keen interest in the technical capabilities of the software. He emphasized that the state government is highly committed to adopting advanced digital solutions to safeguard the lives and properties of the people of Himachal Pradesh.

The presentation was attended by key stakeholders, bridging the gap between corporate innovation and local administration. Dr. Harsh Kalia, former councillor of the Municipal Corporation Hamirpur, was also present on the occasion, lending local administrative insights to the discussion.

State officials noted that integrating such automated and data-driven systems could drastically minimize response time during natural disruptions, furthering the government’s vision of an automated, resilient, and tech-forward Himachal.
